Booty,

and The Orchestra was full of bootiful music this week. A veritable assortment one could say. We welcomed Baby (or Barry as he is also known) though one thinks the nickname of BB will fit well, N’est Pas? Here he is softly caressing his mandolin behind Mr Versatile, Ale
Also in attendence, a veritable gang of geetarists
all with their own beauty (inner beauty in Team Brick’s case). Well to be honest they made a bit of a racket but a choice word here and there sorted that out.
We were abit pleased with ourselves after the reasonable success of Mystery Movie soundtrack and maybe this reflected the joviality of the improv

A bit of melodian always adds to the mood too (well done Richard, well done)
not to mention in demand Ellie and her magic flute and Bel’s top trumpet skills. Happy Birthday Bel by the way.
I jazzed it up on my new borrowed ride cymbal (thanks Marita)

We ended with a real swingin’ style tune which allowed us to expand ourselves. Personally I think its the sort of thing we should always start with to get the creative juices flowing, if you saw our first ever gig we started with something similar. It’s also nice to play something with pace that isn’t always that loud, nice.
We’re always looking for new players (of all standards) so if you’re interested please contact us. For those that don’t know there’s no practise this week but we’re meeting for Tomoko’s and Belinda’s birthday at the Bell from 6 befor’ food at Teoh’s.
Ciao,
Richie Paradise
as you can see I was driven to a state of mass
Not quite sure how they got to be there but rest assured there were plenty of debased and morally corrupt Cube Regulars there too:

yeah here he is

and we did get some good performances (including a couple by those Chap people)
though when we started with ‘America’ I think I was in the South and Colin the North, but luckily we met half way in Central. No pics of Max this time, not related to his jibe that I should stick to the drums after my Movieoke stage performance, I was just too absorbed with the b e a oootiful audience (you guys were great by the way, give yourselves a big round of applause).

I guess you could say it was doing that postmodern self reflective thing before the fancy terms had even been invented (am I right Professor Hog?). Tom and Katherine
managed to watch some before sensibly heading off to a warm bed. I managed to get up to the 11th hour stint before I headed off past the half marathon bollards myself. A fine party. Well done everyone who helped out and to all who turned up.

they were mighty intrigued.

Top marks to the small horn department, especially for the Christmas section (not giving much away there to be honest).
possibly Team Brick (or Tim Brick as my friend thought he was called) has been worshipping
Paradise.
but went home in a bodybag I’m afraid. Any rumours that they killed themselves due to the radiculous plot of Oceans 12 (where they pretend they are the actors that they actually are, yeah I know) is totally untrue.
her and Cederic tried looking really hard for a while, Olsa was less than impressed

3 strikes and out.

but whatever it was there was definately a Jewish feel to some of the music this week. I love Belinda’s impression of

. Stuart was doing some crazy percussive harmonic type things with that Geetar of his, yes siree, and Ellie gave us that softer touch that an often all too masculine Orchestra needs. I was practically in tears. But that maybe ‘cus I’m back at work………

That smile probably sommet to do with having his house back from several house guests and screaming children, and boy can that fella can play a mean spanish guitar? (the answer is yes)
